| For the last two
years, since the advent of this web site. Medley of Photography has gone through some
remarkable times. It is hard to imagine that in 1993, Medley of Photography first started
as a small location photography business, photographing small weddings, sports and
informal portraits. |

| Using the Internet, we have evolved
into much more. Our time is spent more these days photographing products and
fashion/glamour. The Internet has not only given us a new platform with which to present
our company to audiences we could have never even guessed were there, but it has opened up
a brand new market for us along with endless resources. For that we must thank it and you,
our present and future cyber clients. The future is completely ripe for the taking,
extremely open, and unpredictable with regard to what type of projects it will bring us. The Internet could also be credited for causing Medley of Photography to create many new services such as our modeling catalog. The catalog holds models profiles and headshots for our clients to select independent talent for their projects. This catalog enhances the models' exposure while offering our clients with dependable, professional talent that we are confident in recommending and at lower rates than represented talent. Although not all of the models had their head shots photographed by us , we have either worked with them in the past or we have researched each model completely. Yet if the talent can not be found within our catalog, we have complete access to local and national talent agencies. With the addition of our 4x5 format equipment, and with additions of creative assistants including our freelance make up artist Lisa Boston, our already high standard of service and quality has steadily increased. Lisa, who is extremely skilled at her trade not, only excels with our make-up needs but is also a valuable research and purchasing agent. She has a remarkable knack of styling our talents, at times with little to no direction, as well as finding the un-findable prop. Although she has only been with us a relatively short time, she has fit in as though she has always been part of the family. The 4x5 equipment has enhanced almost all fields of photography for us, from architecture to fashion and products. Although I had previously worked in all formats of camera equipment, less than a year ago I re-purchased a large format camera and immediately started using it to produce some remarkable images. Large format forces a photographer to really become a
photographer. With todays technology, there are many people letting their equipment
actually dictate how their images are completed. With a 4x5 camera the photographer not
only must know composition and style, he/she must also know how to control light and have
a working knowledge of principles of light and physics and then pull it all together. We
have the photographic experience and background to take our images further while all the
time putting our creative insight to work creating unique and stunning imagery. |
