| Speed Demon: When
photographing, or even just enjoying motor sports, I feel the closer the better. At the
first San Antonio Nissan Grand Prix, I almost found out how close was too close. During
the very first hot Lap for the big cars (GTO & GTU class cars), I began
leaning through the photo hole in the fence. Due to my excitement I kept creeping further
and further out while focusing on the pack of cars approaching. I knew I was out too far
when I felt a gush of hot air underneath me as the cars went by. Without realizing
it, I had leaned out over the track so far that the cars were traveling under me at over
165 mph.
